Rødfjell and Stjernevann

We are targeting possible Ni-Cu-PGE mineralized intrusions within the Repparfjord-Komagfjord Tectonic Window (RKTW). Recent studies show that 2050 Ma ultra-mafic systems have produced several high grade Ni-Cu-PGE mineralizations within the Karasjok Greenstone Belt (KGB) (Hansen et al, 2023; Orvik et al, 2023; Orvik et al, 2024). World class deposits of similar characteristics are already in production e.g. Kevitsa in northern Finland (Mutanen, 1997; Yang et al, 2013).

Rødfjell and Stjernevann ultra-mafics have previously been interpreted to be much younger than the above mentioned systems (Pharaoh et al, 1982; Bingen et al, 2015; Torgersen et al, 2015). However, with the possible link between the tectonic windows and the Paleoproterozoic GREENSTONE belts in the Fennoscandian Shield, there could be similar intrusions within the RKTW and thus economic viable mineralization's. No direct dating has been done on the ultra-mafics of Rødfjell and Stjernevann and this will be one of the task for Grønnstein AS.

Within the Rødfjell suite, we currently have two projects, Rødfjell and Stjernevann, with a total of six claims covering 25 km^2. Both Rødfjell and Stjernevann lie easily accessible within the Repparfjord-Komagfjord Tectonic Window in Northern Norway, Finnmark.

Folldal Verk did a huge investigation in the whole Repparfjord-Komagfjord Tectonic Window during the 1970s. This work comprises stream sediment sampling, grid hard rock sampling, detailed lithological and structural mapping, geophysical surveys, and geochemical data.

We are currently working with historical data as well as new data from the 2024 field season.
