Porsa and Vesterdalen

Porsa exploration permit

Porsa is a historic copper mine. It was operational for several periods between 1905 and 1931. A total of about 100,000 tons of ore materials were processed at 1.2-1.5 % Cu (Poulsen, 1964). Copper was mined from two parallel quartz-carbonate veins, called "Greville" and "Parallel" with chalcopyrite as the main ore mineral. Interesting gold and silver values have also been reported.

Vesterdalen exploration permit

Vesterdalen is a historic prospect with high gold and copper values. Grab samples show up to 16.4 g/ton Au and 9.7 % Cu. The gold-copper mineralization is likely linked to a large shear zone, forming the Vesterdalen Valley (Giulio et al. 2008). Our Vesterdalen exploration permits also include several historic copper mines and prospects, such as Baches, Bahrs, and Kvitfjellet.

Grønnstein AS is planning field work on our Porsa and Vesterdalen exploration permits for the field season of 2025.
